Investment Analyst

Vesta Equity is looking for an investment analyst that will assist in the underwriting, negotiating and closing of potential investments within Vesta Equity’s investment platform. While the role will report directly to the Managing Director, it is anticipated that the Analyst will be assigned to a specific investment team based upon his/her prior experience and strengths.

Responsibilities:

• Handle initial reviews of new opportunities, including financial analyses and cash flow/return modeling, for potential investments.
• Work directly with management in assessing potential opportunities and being directly involved in the diligence and approval process.
• Research properties, markets and borrowers through various means to validate findings.
• Produce draft models and approval memos for all asset classes of real estate.
• Assist in servicing investments, which includes direct contact and engagements with existing and future borrowers.
• Travel with Originator for site visits, client meetings and conferences (time permitting).
• Prepare various projects and reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree.
• 2+ years of Real Estate experience in the financial/banking area (preference will be given to those who have completed a structured analyst program).
• Bank credit training a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Ability to work in team environment or individually and be a self-starter/self-motivator.
• Willingness to travel.
